Lobmeyr make use of the hand-cutting and buffing techniques of their ancestors while collaborating with some of Europe’s most innovative designers.
American designer Murray Moss took Lobmeyr’s flawless Old Fashioned tumbler and engraved a crack motif into the side, introducing welcome imperfection and highlighting the fragility of a perfected century-old classic.
Martino Gamper redefined the classic whiskey tumbler, produced in limited numbers for Lobmeyr in 2016. ABASK is offering his most striking variations, hand-painted onto lead-free crystal with contemporary bands of lustrous enamel, using Lobmeyr’s traditional methods.
The classic Mid-century Alpha tumbler has been reimagined by one of London’s most fascinating illustrators, Tatiana de Nicolay. Her Garden of Paradise design adds an equally delicate landscape featuring a crowned bird on a fruit-bearing tree, all hand-painted at the Lobmeyr workshop.
