The beauty of the trend is that there are no rules. Over the years, architects and interior designers have interpreted the open expanse differently – Stefano Frontani took a wistful, pared-back approach for the White Lodge in Mexico, David Shelley leant into mid-century modernism for Monica and Simon Siegel’s home in Nottinghamshire, and Eero Saarinen used it as the perfect opportunity to celebrate natural light at Miller House in Indiana.
