A Venezuelan sanctuary through Italian eyes.
Designed in the 1950s by the great Gio Ponti sits Villa Planchart, the home of Anala and Armando Planchart that's situated on a hilltop in Caracas, Venezuela.
The majority of the interiors can be traced back to Italy, from the marble and ceramics to the lamps and abstract rugs. Even the art follows the same theme, comprising the works of Giorgio Morandi, Massimo Campigli and Fausto Melotti. Yet not everything is Italian – Venezuelan painter Armando Reverón also features, honouring the heritage of its patrons.
