Exciting new collaborator alert: we are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with our friend, the brilliant and esteemed photographer @douglasfriedman on his ground-breaking (quite literally) historical home renovation in Long Island.
Over the next few months, the ABASK team will be plotting and planning with Douglas to curate the home-design smalls he plans to have in his home in tandem with the architectural plans he is mapping with other trailblazers in their field, interior architect @stevengambrel and architectural designer @marcusziemke. Douglas shares our vision that smalls are main characters rather than afterthoughts; in the ABASK home-design book, the bowls are as important as the banisters and the glassware as integral as the grouting to any home.
For the first chapter in our partnership, we have worked with Douglas on his inspired Lobmeyr Wet Bar to source an exquisite collection of the legendary Vienna-based connoisseurs @lobmeyr’s Series B collection of glasses. More of our global makers, including @zanetto_official, @ritakonig for @thelacquercompany, @lorenzimilanoofficial, @emiliawickstead, and @losencajeros, also feature.
