<p>And here is the <a href="http://kck.st/SxZEg2">cabin studio as it looks now</a>, after a few years of building (and touring as Bowerbirds). We found some scaffolding on Craigslist, which would have been useful a long time ago, but better late than never. We’ve been using it to put up the siding on the outside of the side of the cabin that is framed with normal 2x4" framing. The log side doesn’t need siding.</p>
<p>We got the rough cut siding from a house in Raleigh where the owners were replacing the wood siding with shingles of some sort, so we took the wood home with us in our minivan, cut it to size, and started putting it up. There wasn’t quite enough to cover the whole house, so we bought a little extra from a local lumbermill. </p>
<p>In this picture, you can see the tiny balcony sticking out from the upstairs loft. Eventually there will hopefully be a zipline going from this balcony down to the art studio. Just because.</p>
