A pair of relatively small active regions rotated into view of our solar observatory May 31 – June 2, spouting off numerous small flares and sweeping loops of plasma. At first, only the one active region was observed, but mid-way through the video clip a second one behind the first can be picked out. The dynamic regions were easily the most remarkable areas on the sun during this 42-hour period.
The images were taken in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light.
