Photo by @CristinaMittermeier // Having traveled for hundreds, if not thousands of years, glacier ice finally reaches its terminus in the Arctic Sea. As the tides rises and falls, and as more ice pushes from the top, the glacier will “calf”, giving birth to new icebergs that will enter their final voyage as they melt into the sea. There is a rugged beauty and a sadness in this process, which never stops fascinating me and calling me to photograph it.
