Chilean Flamingos taking flight in one of the many lakes of Parque Patagonia in Valle Chacabuco. This area was one of Chile’s largest sheep ranches but is now protected grassland due to the efforts of @tompkins_conservation. The Cacabuco valley serves as a corridor to the Argentine steppe to the east, where the birds head for winter.
