The World at Night project
There is nothing like observing the night sky, touring the Milky Way and beyond, with a large telescope, going from one deep sky object to the other. This single-exposure self-portrait was photographed in 2016 while I was in a lodge serving astro-tourism near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, where they have a telescope field for guests to use. This was also a scene in the documentary film “Borderless Sky” which followed my photography nights in the deserts and mountains under star-filled Chilean skies. Explore more @babaktafreshi
