Photo by @CarltonWard // One of my camera traps is set deep in a South Florida swamp on a flooded trail where I hope to capture a Florida panther walking in water. That prospect has become a bit more challenging as water levels have begun to drop and fish are becoming concentrated in remaining pools. In this spot I got 4000 photos of wading birds in just two weeks, quickly smoking my flash batteries. This great blue heron was particularly pesky but did make some nice selfies.
