Photo by @andywcoleman // We drove through the night to get to this spot at Lake Matheson near the Fox Glacier in South Westland, New Zealand in time for sunrise. A short walk through an ancient forest brings you to this mirror view of Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mount Tasman. The deep reflections of the lake are due to the dark brown color of the waters, the result of organic matter leached from the humus of the forest floor.
