Photo by @benhortonphoto // These hammerhead were photographed while I was doing a story on shark poaching in Cocos Island, Costa Rica. They look aggressive in this photo but were totally uninterested in us humans. In fact, they only came this close because they were being chased by a much larger galapagos shark. Shark diving has created such a huge tourism attraction in places like Cocos Island that the sharks actually have a much higher "value" than they would if caught and sold for their fins.
