Photo @materas// Washington State has five very prominent volcanoes which, for my purposes, are volcanoes that are heavily glaciated and significantly higher than their nearby peaks. These five include Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, Glacier Peak, and Mt. Baker. They're all beautiful, inspiring, and stand head and shoulders above the non-volcanic peaks of the Cascades. At 10,781' Mt. Baker, pictured here, is a bit isolated all the way up North near the Canadian border and is one of the most glaciated peaks in the lower 48. #volcano #washington #cascademountains #glacier #ringoffire
