photograph by @susanseubert // In honor of World Penguin Day, here is a Chinstrap penguin as it makes its way from its nesting site to the ocean at Half Moon Island, located in the South Shetland Island group off of the Antarctic Peninsula. This island is popular with not only Chinstrap penguins, it also supports nesting habitat for Antarctic terns, Skuas, Wilson's and Black bellied storm petrels as well as Kelp gulls and shags.
