Photograph by @susanseubert // In honor of Earth Day, a Polar Bear, stranded on the beach in Svalbard, Norway. This beautiful marine mammal has become a symbol of how man made climate change is globally accelerating habitat loss. In 1970, Earth Day was started as a way to celebrate environmental science. Today is also the March for Science where thousands of people throughout the world are marching to defend the vital role that science plays in our safety, health, economics and government.
