Photo by @CarltonWard // Fisheating Creek is the wildest waterway flowing into the heart of the Everglades at Lake Okeechobee. During a recent @fl_wildcorridor expedition, Justin Riney navigates a labyrinth of cypress trees near the well-marked paddling trail. Further downstream, our team may have been the first to stand up paddle through Cowbone Marsh, at times having to cut trails with machetes and drag our boards. We saw more that a hundred gators that week. The rich habitat is important to the health of the Everglades and wildlife including the Florida black bear and Florida panther. #FisheatingCreek #Everglades #FloridaWild #KeepFLWild for more #followme @carltonward
