Photo by @andywcoleman // The unique shape of the giraffe is a familiar site in the Masai Mara, Kenya. There are actually three subspecies of giraffe found in Kenya. The Masai giraffe, in addition to being the most common in the country, is also the largest of the subspecies and the tallest land mammal. On several occasions, we saw a tower of giraffes (yes, a group of giraffes is called a tower) numbering twenty or more. On this morning, we were waiting for more of them to come over this ridge, but only these two made it up the hill.
