Photo by @andywcoleman // You can experience the canopy of tropical forests from a variety of man made vantage points - tree houses, free standing towers, suspension bridges and zip lines - but it wasn't until visiting Mashpi Lodge in Ecuador that I discovered you can also cycle through the tree tops. Their sky bike hangs from a 656-foot cable between two points in the cloud forest. At one point, you are crossing a gorge above a river at a height of nearly 200 feet. You can pedal the bike at a leisurely pace, though, to enjoy the sights and sounds of the canopy. #NatGeoLodges #Mashpilodge
