Paddling through the glassy waters in the North West Gulf of Alaska. The surrounding mountains towered above as we patiently waited to score the one and only ride for the day on the Bore Tide. A natural phenomenon occurring as an incoming tide collides with the outgoing tide. The best time to see the bore tide is generally March and September, around the time of the equinoxes.
