National Parks, [9 of 18], Photo by @jonathan_irish // Millions of visitors will visit Grand Canyon National Park this year, yet very few will venture down to the bottom of the canyon. I admit that the views from the top are incredible. They will take your breath away from almost any of the many viewpoints along the North or South Rims. However, I will never forget the feeling of being at the bottom of the canyon. Away from the throngs of crowds, listening to the churning of the Colorado River, which formed this canyon, I felt like I had finally gotten to the heart of this amazing park. If you can brave the hike back up, which I consider one of the greatest hikes in the world, be sure to venture to the bottom of the canyon for an unforgettable experience.
