Photograph by @JohnStanmeyer Ghost Forest ~ Ancient tree stumps exposed in the surf on the beach in Neskowin, Oregon. Scientists estimate these trees are 1,700 to 2,000 years old, drowned when possibly an earthquake struck this region of the Pacific Northwest United States, dropping the land some 10 feet into the ocean. Today, these stumps are often buried, periodically exposes by the sand shifting in the heavy tide. Pleased to announce my next Visual Storytelling and Social Media workshop, a 9-day event happening in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, June 22-30, 2016. The workshop is more than half full. Visit my Instagram profile and click on the website link to www.stanmeyerworkshops.com for complete details before it fills. Looking forward to working with many of my Instagram friends this June, in the beautiful old city of Tbilisi.
