Photo by @catherinekarnow A fisherman glides by the ancient hill town of Capodimonte, on Lake Bolsena, a crater lake of central Italy, of volcanic origin, which began to collect 370,000 years ago. The same families have been fishing here for centuries. The lake is known for its crystal clear waters and huge abundance and variety of fish. We go out with the fishermen at dawn on my Italy Photo Workshop to observe their ancient methods of fishing with nets, and then have a (really fresh) fish fry for breakfast.
