Photo by @andywcoleman // After a 3 hour drive from Quito, Ecuador, crossing the equator three different times, we arrived at the cloud forest of Mashpi, where we were greeted by this violet-tailed sylph. This area is a hotspot for biodiversity, with sounds and sights of wildlife around every corner. This was one of 13 different species of hummingbird we saw on our first day at the reserve. #natgeolodges #mashpilodge
