Ranthambore National Park is considered one of the best places in India to see a tiger in the wild. It is named after the 10th century fort that covers the entire top of a hill in the heart of the Park. Even if there weren't tigers in the area, a visit to see this fort would be well worth your time. The fort is massive - almost 7 kilometers in length - and contains many old ruins, including palaces and temples. The Ganesh Temple attracts a steady flow of pilgrims from all over the country. On a day like the one when we visited, you are likely to see pilgrims making the walk up the stone roads and steps. During the annual Ganesh festival, tens of thousands of pilgrims will visit the temple. You can see one of the three tigers we viewed during our stay at @andywcoleman
