Traveling has taught me that no matter what resources you may have available to you, it’s impossible to always accurately predict the weather for your trip. After a long hike, we got to enjoy swinging in lakeside hammocks amongst the poplar trees on Lake Wanaka. It was one of the nicest days we saw before a storm blew in from Antarctica and the weather went from boardshorts to thermals. You never know what to predict in New Zealand and this is why I love it.
