// Photo by @andywcoleman Havasu Canyon in Arizona is a waterfall oasis offering some of the best hiking and photographic opportunities in the United States. The iconic hike in the area is the 8 mile round trip trek from the Havasu campground to Beaver Falls. Beaver Falls is a series of cascading waterfalls occurring at the confluence of Havasu Canyon and Beaver Canyon. Getting to the falls requires a bit of work. You must first navigate a steep descent to the base of Mooney Falls, then trek 3 miles downstream, crossing Havasu Creek multiple times. The reward for the trek, beyond the views, is the ability to swim in the crystal clear waters at the base of the falls.
