Photo by @carltonward // (2 of 8) I captured this photo just after sunset from a Cessna 172 airplane looking out over Ten Thousand Islands region of the
Everglades. Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States, including the largest contiguous protective mangrove forest in the western hemisphere. The park has been declared an International Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site and a Wetland of International Importance, one of only three locations in the world to appear on all three lists.
