Kayaking in Antarctica always seemed more of a dream than a reality. That is, until it actually became a reality this past March on a Nat Geo Expedition. I love kayaking. Along with biking, they are my favorite forms of transportation. I also love icebergs, the cold, and all things polar. So putting the two together (kayaking and polar conditions) was something I was very much looking forward to. And it totally lived up to its expectations. It snowed a bit this day, and I almost (almost!) forgot to take photos because I was having so much fun. It was eerily silent out on the water, except for the occasional cracking of melting icebergs. Like drifting in a dream! Photo by @jonathan_irish
