After a day at sea aboard the National Geographic Orion, we reached the Tanjung Puting National Park in Indonesian #Borneo. Although the orangutan is the star attraction of this rain forest, we were fortunate to see several animals that can only be found in this part of the world, including this male proboscis monkey. Despite being a protected National Park, much of the primary forest is degraded. The loss of natural habitat is the greatest threat to the wildlife in this area and throughout #Borneo.
