#NatGeoTravelStories // Follow along this weekend as @KristaRossow shares 12 photographs from her recent assignment in Durban, South Africa. #4) To the west of Durban, lies the Land of 1000 Hills, the heart of Zulu country in #KwaZuluNatal province. I made my way to iSithumba village with a local Zulu guide where I was welcomed to spend time on a large farmstead. I made my way between the rondavels, round buildings traditional in Zulu culture, and in the kitchen I spent time with this woman while she peeled potatoes. I loved the simplicity of the scene and although I couldn’t tell her how beautiful I thought she looked, she did give me the best laugh and proud smile when I showed her the photo on the back of my camera. #SouthAfrica To read more from @KristaRossow's assignment visit the link in our bio.
