A male lion looking triumphant after chasing two male cheetah out of his territory. The cheetah slept in the area overnight and were ready to hunt when this male and two female lions came on the scene. The lions quickly picked up their scent and started stalking the cheetah. They never got close to the hyper-aware cheetah, who used their world class speed to leave the area and find a new place to hunt. Taken at the Phinda Reserve in South Africa. #bigcats Photo by @awc007
