From our unique view in space, we're wishing the National Park Service a happy 100th birthday! Aboard the space station (@ISS), astronaut Jeff Williams (@Astro_Jeffw) shared this video of the Grand Canyon and wrote, "Grand indeed. Even from space it took 13 pictures to capture all 277 miles." Jeff’s affection for the National Parks began when he was a child. His father was a seasonal park ranger severing at Devils Tower National Monument. Now, his unique vantage point on the International Space Station provides an endless panorama of the natural beauty and awesome grandeur that is found in the National Parks.
