Swipe left to see the photo-sequence. The rising Full Moon of last night was not a regular one. First, it was the Easter (Paschal) Moon, second a Blue Moon (the second full moon in a single month). These telephoto images show how the moon appearance on the horizon is distorted and reddened by our atmosphere.
