“I actually went back to nursing school later in life. My first year of nursing took quite the unexpected turn when the pandemic hit. I left my oncology floor for 4 months and volunteered to staff our covid unit. It has not always been easy, but helping others has always been a passion of mine that I will continue to incorporate into my life. While social media is a glamorous gig, for me it’s important to keep my job in nursing because it’s a way for me to help others not just medically, but mentally and emotionally and in return it helps me as well.
