Our community is full of amazing people that are focused on building a better future + we’re excited to share more about them. As we continue to learn more about environmental justice, @diandramarizet has been one of the experts we’ve been listening to. Diandra is the co-founder of @intersectionalenvironmentalist - a platform supporting inclusive environmentalism that protects both people and the planet.
“We’re going to remember 2020 as the year we came together to lift the veil. Our current consumption habits don’t align with any notions of solidarity, so we’re stepping up together to dismantle exploitative practices big and small. Supporting the seen and unseen BIPOC that bring art into your life can be using your voice to take anti-rascist stances, shopping small BIPOC owned brands, educating yourself on topics you’re passionate about from a different point of view, and voting for leaders that will listen to BIPOC communities when they say they can’t breathe. The IE platform has flourished quickly under no coincidental circumstances. Our diverse community leading its development has been doing the work to amplify unheard voices and environmental justice issues for years. We’re honored to be bringing incredible work in these spaces to the forefront so we can unlearn harmful ideologies and uncover a new normal that truly protects people + the planet.”
