Woman of the week Wednesday: Eleanor Roosevelt ❤️ Eleanor was the longest-serving First Lady of the United States and a prominent diplomat and human rights advocate who led the effort to draft the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Roosevelt served at the U.S. Delegate to the United Nations from 1945 to 1952, during which time she was the chair of the UN Commission on Human Rights. In the White House, she was one of the most active first ladies to work for political, racial and social justice.
