First up is actress Hedy Lamarr. Often referred to as ‘The most beautiful woman in the world’ when she first graced the screen in the 1930s. It was said the audience gasped, her beauty literally took their breath away. She went on to star in 18 films, the most successful being Samson and Delilah. She also worked alongside George Antheil in creating the idea of frequency hopping, which served as a basis for the technology used in Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth devices.
