One thing you guys asked for was just a list of tips & tricks! Here are some of the first things that came to mind that have helped me along the way ✨
✖️Find a killer WO outfit(s)! Exhibit A ?? When you feel good going into a workout, it will be much more enjoyable. Thanks @alala for this set ⚡️
✖️Don't think too much about your workout--just do it. Meaning, you've had a long day at work? Don't think about how tired you are. Just get your WO clothes on and go! ??♀️
✖️Be cognizant of portion sizes. For example, its very easy to use way more than 1 serving of PB which may have you eating a lot more fat than you'd like.
✖️Read labels! The sugar, carb, and fat content can be very different for the same food items of different brands (yogurts, breads, cheeses, etc).
✖️Once you've mastered a lower weight with higher reps, increase your weights and lower your reps! This is how you build strength and muscle ??
✖️If you're feeling hungry, try drinking water before eating! You may just be thirsty ?
✖️Carb up post WO! Again, this will help you build muscle. Your body needs those carbs after a good sweat sesh.
✖️Plan ahead! When I go to work, I bring all my meals & snacks with me. This way, I'm much more likely to stay on track when someone brings in treats ?
✖️Workouts are important but diet is KEY?And I don't mean diet as being restrictive, I just mean that you cannot outwork a bad diet!
✖️Carbs and fats are not the enemy ?? even if you don't count macros, I think it is important to be aware of what you are eating. Your body needs a certain amount of carbs and fat to function, to grow muscle, to burn fat. So don't be scared of them ?
✖️Find what works for you, and is SUSTAINABLE. Whether it's your workouts, eating regimen/diet...If something is not sustainable, it won't be effective. Consistency is what brings results ??
