DON'T LEAVE YOUR PET IN THE CAR 🌡
On a warm day, the inside of your car heats up very quickly. Did you know that on a 30°C day, the temperature inside your car can reach 39°C in less than 5 minutes?
This occurs even in the shade and if your windows are open. This heat can kill an animal in a matter of minutes.
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗱𝗮𝘆 – 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.
If you see a pet suffering in a warm car, take immediate action – find the owner or call the New Zealand Police or SPCA New Zealand.
