Meet Forida! Forida is a garment worker from Bangladesh. She’s only paid 35 cents an hour. She makes clothes for Target Australia, H&M and other international brands. After deductions have been illegally taken from her overtime wage for mistakes and not being able to meet unrealistic targets, Forida makes less then minimum wage in Bangladesh. If brands absorbed the cost of paying living wages within their supply chains, it would cost them less than 1% of the price of a garment.
