Inflatable flowers #readymade by @jeffkoons. Upon his move to New York City in the late 1970s, Koons began incorporating inflatable toys from discount stores across downtown Manhattan into his sculptural practice – animals, cartoon characters, and most remarkably, flowers. Recalling the #readymade sculptures of #duchamp, and referencing #popart peers like #warhol, Koons' works collapse the distance between art object, commodity, and viewer.
