A master of the spot and lover of orange, Baldessari used large acrylic abstract shapes to strip the identities of people and objects in found imagery – photographs, film stills, and various ephemera. Also a master of wry titles, he first exhibited this piece in his exhibition at the Deutsch Guggenheim perfectly titled "Somewhere Between Almost Right and Not Quite (With Orange)."
