At Apply, we love a great "peel & reveal" sticker experience, but it hasn't always been such good clean fun. Meet one of our creative inspirations, Jacques Villeglé (@jacquesvillegle). Born in 1926 and working in Paris still, Villeglé makes pictures from found commercial posters and signage. In the late 1940s, he pioneered a technique known as "decollage," a subtractive process through which he tore layers of public billboards, serendipitously exposing imagery with striking contrasts of abstraction.
