One of the great treats of buying vinyl records is their joyful, graphic, and content-rich packaging. Filled with lyrics, behind the scenes footage, and other easter eggs, "liner notes" reward casual fans & superfans alike - a bit extra to cherish in addition to the main event: the music. At Apply, we're working hard to give stickers the same thoughtful treatment. One such component is the aptly named "liner," the laminated material to which the unpeeled sticker adheres. Classically, this is less than an afterthought. It is a piece of white glossy paper, eager to be tossed in the nearest waste bin, with no value beyond preserving the sticker's adhesive until used. This never sat right with us. Borrowing from the great tradition of vinyl, we turned it into a key part of our sticker design. Under each Apply sticker lies an art print. Functionally, it performs identically to its bleached & bland predecessor. But aesthetically & experientially, it opens up new opportunities. When you peel, you reveal. At first, you see components - often contrasting in color, medium, and more, with the sticker itself. When fully peeled, you're left with something to hold on to, something to remember. For Foundations, we printed three iconic photographs by Alfred Stieglitz and a landscape painting by Martin Johnson Heade to provide contrast and surprise for each peel.   Source Imagery: @metmuseum, @artinstitutechi #StickerLove #StickerShop #StickerArt #Apply #ApplyYourself #HowToApply #ApplyFoundations #StickerLove #StickerShop #StickerArt #ArtHistory #ArtSchool #PublicDomain #Collage #DigitalCollage #DoItForTheGram #Tableau #Queens #CollageArt #CollageClub #Collages #GraphicArt #Digital_Art #CollageArtWorks #InstaArtOfTheDay #ArtOfTheDay #Collage_Guild #CollageArtists #Collage_Art #Stieglitz #GeorgiaOKeeffe #PeelAndReveal
