Any sticker you buy, from Apply or elsewhere, is actually a superset of creative possibilities. Each sticker often includes characters and shapes holding their own potential, if excised from their broader context (a sheet). As such, having a trusty precision blade to help extract alluring components is a huge help to any sticker enthusiast. Add to this the ability to more specifically sculpt a sticker to fit the form of the its desired surface, and you can see the attraction. There are many blades on the market that will do the job, but we like the classic X-Acto #1. First and foremost, we’re drawn to familiar hand-feel, akin to a common pen or pencil. Blades are easy to change, and you’ll find the stem, a single blade, and safety cover will cost < $10. The safety cover works well when on, but does have a tendancy to fall off unless secured properly. Keep out of reach of small children! And buy it from your favorite art supplies store, such as Blick (@blickartmaterials).
