Jeffrey's use of language in his visual art is poetic. He sometimes quotes lyrics & literature, but more often writes his own words that become integral parts of his paintings, tapestries or rugs.
In "FAITH" we sampled two vertical bands with the words "LIKE A HURRICANE." Whether real or metaphoric, we were attracted to the force summoned by the word "HURRICANE" in the context of Jeffrey's secular notion of faith.
