Of course we talked about the environment and craftsmanship, but we also zeroed in on snowboarding's connection to surf. I had the huge honor of interviewing a hero of mine, Gerry Lopez, for the film. Still hard for me to believe. Chris and I saw surf as essential to all aspects of our design efforts.
