Four years ago in 2019 one of us went to China for the first ever time whilst the other brother (very kindly š¤£) ran the business all by himself back home. We pushed the boat out and sent me in business class for the first ever time too, which was completely wasted on me as I didnāt know how to make the seat into a bed and had the worst sleep Iāve ever had on a flight š
We thought we knew what we were doing back then with all the drive and vision in the world, but not exactly with the industry knowledge to match. We used to think āIf only we knew back then what we know now, ARNE wouldāve scaled 10x fasterā but whereās the fun in that and if you want anything bad enough Iām pretty sure youāll find a way to get it. Some of the questions we were asking suppliers back in 2019 were far from great š
but looking back now that was all completely fine because you can learn the rest as you go!
All the best to any of you out there ānaiveā and āfoolishā enough to take on an industry and give things a go on your own little journeys because you think something is missing - thatās the spirit, just make sure you back yourself.
Four years later we are back as a team this time and itās amazing to see some of the brands ARNE is now manufactured alongside in some really brilliant factories ran by great people who really care about the products they create š
And itās nice to be walking around in a pair of ARNE trainers this year instead of those Nike P-6000ās š #ARNE
