Hi, I am Jaclyn, the founder of Audry Rose! I don’t come on here much, because I don’t like putting myself out there, but I’ve been feeling nostalgic and especially grateful. Reflecting on both my experiences of becoming a mother, and founding Audry Rose, I have come to appreciate the strength and determination that’s been passed down to me from my mother & grandmother. I hope to pass these down to my daughter Sloan.
I am so fortunate to have been raised by a loving, independent, and just plain kick-ass woman! My mom Susan launched her own fashion brand 35 years ago, and her first hire was her mother-in-law, Audry, whom you might have guessed, Audry Rose is named after. She too was decades ahead of her time. You know Audry was a special lady, when she was able to have a successful 30 year business relationship with her daughter-in-law. She passed away about 7 years ago, and the jewelry she gave me I cherish dearly.
At this time I came to understand there is something incredibly powerful about the way jewelry connects the generations. I always wanted to follow the footsteps of the bold women in my family and start a business, and with all this swirling in my head, I launched Audry Rose.
6 years later we are still steeped in our original values of supporting and celebrating women. We have over 40 independent female designers on our site, who are so incredibly talented and original. Our company is 90% women and of course, you, our customers, are tens of thousands of beautiful, strong women, each with your own story, buying pieces from other women, to pass down to women through the generations. Through the years we have heard your stories of buying pieces because you survived cancer, graduated, were promoted, got married, had a child, or just because you felt like it, and every time I hear it I am touched.
So thank you, this is no longer my story, or my families, it is all of ours.
