Nearly 12 years ago we started a clothing label in the hope to bring more colour and sparkle to the ladies of NZ. I wanted them to wear less black and venture out into more colour and I wanted to make them feel good about themselves through clothing.
Every summer about this time of year, I remember the start, where it all began.......Nathan and I sitting in our old lounge room floor planning how we could create a brand, how we could grow a brand and how we could produce something that no one else was creating. We started with a summer collection so every time another summer rolls around I always sit back and reflect on the journey and look forward to the one that is still ahead.
I am happy to tell you that every year I see more woman in NZ wearing colour. More woman introducing colour into their wardrobes and more woman finding strength and beauty in self care and dressing well.
I never imagined that the community we have created along the way would be so powerful. The groups and friendships that have been formed blow my mind daily and amaze me and delight me every day. The positivity and love that has been spread through clothing is mind blowing. Friendships, support and love has been created and that’s a very special thing.
So here we go with another summer collection, in our twelfth year and it’s more colourful and bigger than ever. It’s been a tough year for everyone and I can’t wait to finish it off with a summer of fun, friends and fashion. Go out, dress up, feel good.
I hope your summer will be filled with colour and sparkle and love aswell, because as we have learnt, it’s about so much more than just the clothes.
